What You Believe Does Matter!

Today I helped support the launch of Eldon Taylor’s new book, “I Believe: When What You Believe Matters.

I don’t do that often, but this book is a keeper!

Over the years, I’ve seen the miraculous shifts to joy-filled living as old outdated beliefs are transformed. It doesn’t matter where they come from, only that you recognize them for what they are, accept, and shift your belief system into something that supports you in living your life to the fullest. It takes courage, compassion and commitment to look inside and find the answers to your own life’s questions.  Life always questions you. How you answer (respond) is determined by what you believe.

If your life isn’t what you say you want, in spite of your best intentions, then it’s time to pay attention to the hidden beliefs steering your life.  Eldon’s book provides a look at the power of beliefs and shares how he was able to liberate himself from the tyranny of belief(s) and what he learned from working in the field of criminalistics, where he specialized in subliminal communication, lie detection and forensic hypnosis. He speaks first hand about the amazing impact of heart surgery in his own life, and how it further changed his life.  His book is a cookie jar filled with treats that illuminate and inspire!

Years ago I heard a wise elder in the Seneca nation say that, “What we say or do ripples out and touches seven generations to come.” Eldon’s tireless research into the mind brings the science into that statement.

The questions he asks will move you, if you choose, to look at every aspect of your life, to step free from the automatic responses that stem from unexamined beliefs, media induced mind viruses that breed mediocrity, and the myriad of other sources that contribute to what we  believe.  His stories will lift you into a state of mind that supports a life filled with “I believe I can.”

It’s time for all of us to live lives by design.  To do that we must take the leadership role in our life – starting with our beliefs.  Strong beliefs that support you will create strong habits, strong focus, and the willingness to live life with positive focus and positive self-leadership.

Eldon’s book is all about authenticity. I love what I’ve read, and can’t wait to have the hard cover in my hands!   Thanks Eldon, for sharing your wisdom, your humor, and your stories and your tireless commitment to making our world a better place – starting from the inside out.

Are You An Everyday Kind of Leader?

TED talks are a source of amazing inspiration. This short video called Everyday Leadership came to me via via Marcy Cole of First Tuesday, Los Angeles. Her friend Alexa Fischer saw it before I did! Too many great videos and too little time to watch them all.

If you’re a leader, or believe you don’t have it in you, watch this and smile.

It’s not what we plan to do, it’s that we connect with the inner wisdom that knows what to do and when to do it. When you get out of your way, flow and leadership just happens.

Would love to hear about your everyday leadership moments.

The Gift of Free Form Writing

Are you in need of a little boost to get you going?  This is a little something to help you do some inner “house cleaning” of unconscious material that may be contributing to lowered energy or upset.  It will also help you let go of things that keep going round-and-round when you’re doing your best to sleep.

Free Form Writing

Drink some water before you start. Light a candle.
Turn off your phone and ask not to be disturbed.
Ask for the Light (a prayer) for the highest good for all concerned. (I actually write for the highest good of all concerned at the top of the paper. It acts as a “google search” for your unconscious, and brings up what needs to surface.

Use a pen and write what you are thinking for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Just keep the pen moving continuously.  For example, if you are thinking
“What am I going to write about for 20 minutes?” you write that down.
This helps get you out of your trance state, and you kinesthetically access your
unconscious mind.

When complete, burn what you have written. Don’t reread it. It re-anchors and is almost impossible to get out again.

Burn and flush if you like, (I use the kitchen sink)  then get busy and do something else. It helps to burn one page at a time, so as not to set off smoke detectors.
If you cannot burn your papers, then tear them up, although burning is far more symbolic to the unconscious.

I learned this technique from my teacher, John-Roger, about 19 years ago. It is
one of the easiest ways to help clear clutter from your unconscious mind! Even if nothing visible happens, things are going on…and you may also cry, get angry, etc. Don’t stop, just keep your hand moving with your mind’s thoughts.

Specific Writing to Clear a Person or Problem
Begin as directed above.

Write about what makes you angry or upset about the person or situation. Go deep and be as honest as you can!
1. What you hate about it (them).
2. What makes you sad about it (them).
3. What forgiveness you want to do toward that problem or person.
4. Then write about your love, care, concern, and/or gratitude for any clarity or understanding that surfaced as a result of this experiment.

Then burn what you have written.  Walk away and do something else to get busy.
You will likely find that there is a natural transition through the “topics” you are writing about.

These two writing exercises are a great way to release negativity that is pressing on you without hurting yourself, the planet or others.

Done frequently, it will transform your life!
Good luck!

Why Your Unconscious Mind Trumps the Law of Attraction

Why Your Unconscious Mind Trumps the Law of Attraction…

…and What You Can Do About It

On the surface it seems like everything’s going along nicely.

  • Your career is on track.
  • You have a nice family who loves you.
  • You’re in relatively good shape.

So if everything is going so well, why are you still so unsettled?

With all you have going for you, why is it that you’re unable to get to that next step, to get over that next hurdle, to reach the finish line of self-actualization?

Sometimes it feels like you’re swimming against a current that’s keeping you stationary, even though your strokes are strong and true, and you’re getting more and more tired, but you must keep going because you hold out hope that, eventually, the current will subside, but it never does. Your life may appear good on the surface, but is it your best life, a life you dare only imagine?

That “current” is your unconscious. There are things left undone, past issues which have been left unresolved, old mindsets and attitudes that have worn out their welcome: guilt, shame, blame, anger, resentment, or other outdated modes of self-sabotage that may still linger in the shadows.

See if any of these scenarios ring true to you:

Your expenses always rise to meet the level of your income…

You fall just short of meeting important goals…

You have trouble saving for the future even though you know you must…

You’re always just “this close” to real, lasting success at work or in your business…

You think you are in the relationship of your dreams, and then Mr. or Ms. Right just fizzles away…

Your spouse shocks you with a divorce you never saw coming…

First of all, if you saw yourself in any of the above situations, you are in good company. There are millions of people like you who continue to suffer with similar frustrations because they lack the tools to unlock and reprogram their unconscious minds. Even a small incident as a child, long ago forgotten and left unrecognized, has the power to run your life.

This is precisely why The Law of Attraction falls short for most people.

They see the movies, read the books and perform the visualizations and other exercises they are told to do to attract wealth, health or love, but to no avail. The Law of Attraction can make you a good swimmer, but it can’t control the current. You need to calm the waters of your unconscious mind before any real progress can happen.

Now for some good news – you can Bridge 2 BrillianceSM

This “current,” this unconscious force holding you back, is actually a good thing! Every action or inaction that accompanies us through life has a definite purpose, even if it is not at first visible.

Rather than fear the unconscious, you can learn how to harness its power and read its messages.

It is said that the truth will set you free. Uncover the unconscious truth, and you will be set free to move beyond those unknown limitations into greater clarity, brilliance, and manifestation. However, the truth without action still results in inertia.

Throughout the centuries, mystics, shamans, saints and sages have learned how to disable the unconscious programs that create havoc. What made them great was their choice to move through their personal tragedies and transmute them into wisdom, clarity, and brilliance. They risked letting go of control and discovered the greatest control of all: cooperation with life as it presents itself.

I’ve faced many powerful challenges in my own life, and endured the constrictions and compressions. Having walked that path, I’ve become uniquely positioned to help you identify and release the obstacles that prevent you from living brilliantly. Every diamond faces it’s compression and trial by fire. Humans are no different. Those that dare to play with life will find their own true brilliance.

You will Get Clear and Get Connected

You can tap into who you really are and shake off what’s holding you back. Elevate your life and get connected to your inner sources of brilliance. Your inner wisdom will lead you to discover the tools to live a brilliant life. And the best news is…it’s easier than you think!

The end result? Picture a life fulfilled. A place where your goals are met, your relationships are constantly blossoming with each new day. A lifestyle filled with a steady flowing stream of abundance. It’s not only possible, it’s your birthright.

The first move is yours…

Dreams Need Dreamers

Dreams Need Dreamers

My friend and colleague, Debbi Dachinger, is a dreamer.  Not the kind that stares out the window and says, “Some day, I’ll….”  Nope. Debbi puts both wings and feet to her dreams.  She writes them down and then does what it takes to make them come true.  Big or small, she does them all!

Just this week, her new book, Dare To Dream:  A Secret Guide to Making your Dreams a Reality, hit Number One in Amazon.  Congratulations Deb!

Dreamers and leaders are a lot alike.  A true leader, like a dreamer,  inspires, nurtures, and creates an environment for their goals to be realized.  This includes systems and support for their dreams/goals to thrive. The bigger the dream, the larger the network needed to make it a reality.  Big dreams need lots of help!  Deb has given us the perfect guide to help us cross our own personal finish line!

Debbi enlisted her friends, colleagues and those with a similar vision.  They stepped up to the plate and helped her cross the finish line from dream to best seller.  A dream without action is nothing.  A dream with a solid foundation leaves a legacy.   Big dream making is not a solo event.

Deb teaches us a lot about completion.  Her syndicated radio show, “Dare to Dream” airs worldwide from Wednesday – Sunday and features thought leaders and celebrities alike.  This award winning syndicated program attracts more than a million listeners — all because she decided to start a radio show!  This is a woman with a mission to change the world doing what she loves best!  Week in and week out, she does what it takes to continue growing her dream and influence.

Want to write a book? Start a business?  Go back to school? Your willingness to get started will provide the ability to do. Finish the step in front of you and the next will appear. So will the energy. So will your support team.  How?  You don’t always need to know. Things show up when you are ready for them!

Learn from those who succeed, those who have something to teach you, and balance that against your dream and inner wisdom.  Do the inner work necessary to move beyond your inner critic into action.  Learn, honor and accept that your dream has a life of its own. Your job is to nurture it to completion.

Life is fragile. Dare to slow down enough to let your dreams take shape.  Take the steps that will slowly and surely open the doors for success to appear.

No dream is too small to be ignored. Where would we be if Martin Luther King, Bill Gates or Oprah had put their dreams on hold?  Maybe it’s time for you to write yours down, and start making it a reality.  We’re waiting…
