Project Forgive Takes Off

Project Forgive has arrived!

A group of 800 people made history today, when they succeeded in raising funding for an idea whose time has come.

Watch the video and see what all the buzz is about.  If it touches your life, let me know!

A special thank you to all those who have contributed their time and energy. A special shout out to Manny Goldman, Fabienne Fredrickson, Nick Ortner, David Boufford, John Morton and Drs. Ron and Mary Hulnick at the University of Santa Monica, for your openness and years of teaching forgiveness, all the Evolutionary Business Council members, and the countless folks who saw the video and decided to be a part of the conversation.  Thank you for sharing your hearts, your finances and your loving.  And huge appreciation to Shawne Duperon for your huge vision!

Forgiveness changes lives.  It changed mine.  It can change yours.

Stay tuned.

What You Believe Does Matter!

Today I helped support the launch of Eldon Taylor’s new book, “I Believe: When What You Believe Matters.

I don’t do that often, but this book is a keeper!

Over the years, I’ve seen the miraculous shifts to joy-filled living as old outdated beliefs are transformed. It doesn’t matter where they come from, only that you recognize them for what they are, accept, and shift your belief system into something that supports you in living your life to the fullest. It takes courage, compassion and commitment to look inside and find the answers to your own life’s questions.  Life always questions you. How you answer (respond) is determined by what you believe.

If your life isn’t what you say you want, in spite of your best intentions, then it’s time to pay attention to the hidden beliefs steering your life.  Eldon’s book provides a look at the power of beliefs and shares how he was able to liberate himself from the tyranny of belief(s) and what he learned from working in the field of criminalistics, where he specialized in subliminal communication, lie detection and forensic hypnosis. He speaks first hand about the amazing impact of heart surgery in his own life, and how it further changed his life.  His book is a cookie jar filled with treats that illuminate and inspire!

Years ago I heard a wise elder in the Seneca nation say that, “What we say or do ripples out and touches seven generations to come.” Eldon’s tireless research into the mind brings the science into that statement.

The questions he asks will move you, if you choose, to look at every aspect of your life, to step free from the automatic responses that stem from unexamined beliefs, media induced mind viruses that breed mediocrity, and the myriad of other sources that contribute to what we  believe.  His stories will lift you into a state of mind that supports a life filled with “I believe I can.”

It’s time for all of us to live lives by design.  To do that we must take the leadership role in our life – starting with our beliefs.  Strong beliefs that support you will create strong habits, strong focus, and the willingness to live life with positive focus and positive self-leadership.

Eldon’s book is all about authenticity. I love what I’ve read, and can’t wait to have the hard cover in my hands!   Thanks Eldon, for sharing your wisdom, your humor, and your stories and your tireless commitment to making our world a better place – starting from the inside out.

The Power of Forgiveness: Project Forgive

My friend Shawne Duperon is both wise and wonderful. She is a living example of what’s possible when you step into forgiveness. In her case, moving from the pain of incest into the power of presence, caring, sharing and living her authentic truth. She’s come a long way from her childhood and built a bridge for others who struggle with their own challenges.

Enter Project Forgive!

But first a little more about Shawne.

She’s a six-time EMMY winner,
has interviewed most US Presidents and hundreds
of celebrities. She’s an awesome presenter who
travels the globe speaking on transformational media

Here’s what I know about Shawne, my friend.
She’s down to earth. Generous. Kind.
Unafraid to speak from the heart. Compelling.
Funny. Wise. Committed. On a mission to share the power
of forgiveness in everyday life.

That mission is a documentary called Project Forgive. The script is done, Scott Rosenfelt has already signed on as producer.
He’s the guy who discovered Julia Roberts and produced more than 30 feature films – think “Home Alone” and Sundance Film Festival winner “Smoke Signals.” (I totally loved that movie!)
She has major celebrities on board offering to go public with their own forgiveness stories.

Today, her friends gave her a surprise birthday present – an early launching of Project Forgive on her behalf.
We’re doing it for her, for us, and for our world. It’s time for an antidote to fear, hatred, and hurt.

“The journey of forgiveness is not a journey of forgiveness. It is a journey of love. It’s actually the process of self-discovery, of what love really is. Then you get to this point where you can forgive the most unforgivable things and miracles really start to manifest…” Shawne Duperone

I’m reaching out to my friends and family to help make this movie a reality. If you’ve ever wanted to be involved in making a great movie, now’s the time!

We’ve had great momentum and big wins! Scott Rosenfelt has already signed on as producer.
He’s discovered Julia Roberts and produced more than 30 feature films – think “Home Alone” and Sundance Film Festival winner “Smoke Signals.” (I totally loved that movie!)

Here are some easy ways that you could play with us.

1. Send Light and Loving for the highest good.

2.Check out the “crowd funding campaign” and watch the short video to see why we want to
get this movie funded. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/330494084/project-forgive

The video alone is worth a look, plus there’s a lot of fun rewards for everyone who pledges.
(A pledge of as little as $10 can help get this movie off the ground and donors will receive an early release/download of the movie.)

3. Share your story. Let me know if you have a particular story of forgiveness and we can talk to Shawne and her team about your participation.
Think about all the people you could help with your story, or your contribution to help this documentary get off the ground.

5.If this project speaks to you, please spread the word of this great cause.

Are You An Everyday Kind of Leader?

TED talks are a source of amazing inspiration. This short video called Everyday Leadership came to me via via Marcy Cole of First Tuesday, Los Angeles. Her friend Alexa Fischer saw it before I did! Too many great videos and too little time to watch them all.

If you’re a leader, or believe you don’t have it in you, watch this and smile.

It’s not what we plan to do, it’s that we connect with the inner wisdom that knows what to do and when to do it. When you get out of your way, flow and leadership just happens.

Would love to hear about your everyday leadership moments.

Dreams Need Dreamers

Dreams Need Dreamers

My friend and colleague, Debbi Dachinger, is a dreamer.  Not the kind that stares out the window and says, “Some day, I’ll….”  Nope. Debbi puts both wings and feet to her dreams.  She writes them down and then does what it takes to make them come true.  Big or small, she does them all!

Just this week, her new book, Dare To Dream:  A Secret Guide to Making your Dreams a Reality, hit Number One in Amazon.  Congratulations Deb!

Dreamers and leaders are a lot alike.  A true leader, like a dreamer,  inspires, nurtures, and creates an environment for their goals to be realized.  This includes systems and support for their dreams/goals to thrive. The bigger the dream, the larger the network needed to make it a reality.  Big dreams need lots of help!  Deb has given us the perfect guide to help us cross our own personal finish line!

Debbi enlisted her friends, colleagues and those with a similar vision.  They stepped up to the plate and helped her cross the finish line from dream to best seller.  A dream without action is nothing.  A dream with a solid foundation leaves a legacy.   Big dream making is not a solo event.

Deb teaches us a lot about completion.  Her syndicated radio show, “Dare to Dream” airs worldwide from Wednesday – Sunday and features thought leaders and celebrities alike.  This award winning syndicated program attracts more than a million listeners — all because she decided to start a radio show!  This is a woman with a mission to change the world doing what she loves best!  Week in and week out, she does what it takes to continue growing her dream and influence.

Want to write a book? Start a business?  Go back to school? Your willingness to get started will provide the ability to do. Finish the step in front of you and the next will appear. So will the energy. So will your support team.  How?  You don’t always need to know. Things show up when you are ready for them!

Learn from those who succeed, those who have something to teach you, and balance that against your dream and inner wisdom.  Do the inner work necessary to move beyond your inner critic into action.  Learn, honor and accept that your dream has a life of its own. Your job is to nurture it to completion.

Life is fragile. Dare to slow down enough to let your dreams take shape.  Take the steps that will slowly and surely open the doors for success to appear.

No dream is too small to be ignored. Where would we be if Martin Luther King, Bill Gates or Oprah had put their dreams on hold?  Maybe it’s time for you to write yours down, and start making it a reality.  We’re waiting…
